A Cynical Ploy

One of the chief virtues of our Constitution is the clarity with which it addresses the separate powers of the various branches of government. Each branch has it's role. The Congress, the branch most readily accountable to the people, to enact the laws. The Courts, the branch least subject to the vagaries of popular opinion, to interpret the laws and reconcile or remove conflicts within them.  The executive to enforce the laws.

In the exact wording of the Constitution the duty of the President as regards the law, is as follows: "he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed" ( Article 2 Section 3 )  Not to create new laws, amend existing ones at whim, nor pick and choose which he would care to enforce.

Today President Obama has once again, this time publicly, tread on the law, the Congress, the Constitution, and his oath to uphold it, by announcing a new policy substituting executive fiat for the rule of law.

That the purpose of this abrogation of his responsibility is cynically shameless pandering in the hope of garnering votes only renders such faithless dereliction of duty even more despicable.

Cynical yes but he's put the Republicans between a rock and a hard place with Hispanic voters.

Romney better bring his A game because this guy isn't going to fool around.

I think the A game is obvious. Hammer him on unemployment since the age group that his decision advantages has an abysmal unemployment (13.1% ) /underemployment ( 30.1%) average, far above the rest of the nation.

Not to mention everyone else in the country still unemployed.

I believe this is far less about the Hispanic situation and far more about the fact that there is no one stopping OBama from treading on Congress and the Constitution and, when they try, they're insulted and maligned by far leftists. That's a very dangerous situation for AMerica and I believe it will stop under a Pres. Romney..

Romney, of course, took exactly the right road in his response...that this is not enough, that it's even a detriment to a better plan, and he'll be working on a way where hispanic kids will have a real future.
Of course, we'll also have to deal with the growing La Raza group...which probably supports Obama.

Aye. There's the rub. The Congress, on both sides of the aisle, should be screaming bloody murder about this.

I don't know that he has an A game... saw an Obama commercial this morning in which he was hammering Romney on Debt and Job Creation...

Would it be racist to say that's the pot calling the kettle black.

I was actually laughing.

Cheers!

Very important!

Article 2 Section 3 is being abrogated.

Where is America going? Into full-blown tyranny?

The people responsible for putting the Chief of Kenya into our White House is the real problem we have to deal with, the little pea brains just can't grasp the fact that we are dealing with a Socialist who is hell bent on destroying America.
